SOUTH PLAINFIELD
Edwin "Eddie" Andres Duarte Ortiz, 28, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010. Eddie was the greatest father, a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend, who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is predeceased by his grandfather, Benedicto Duarte, whom he cherished and the family takes great comfort in knowing they are together now and grandmother, Ana Castro Duarte.
Eddie is survived by his son Christian Edwin Duarte and Christian's mother, Deidre Anthenelli, his father, Fabio, mother Olga and Yves Francois, three brothers, Fernando, John Duarte and Johnny Sanchez, three sisters, Claudia, Joanne and Diane Duarte and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born in Colombia, he grew up in Piscataway and South Plainfield. He was currently working for HVAC Gold Medal in East Brunswick.
Funeral services will begin Wednesday at 10:30 am at the South Plainfield Funeral Home 2456 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home.
