Leona L. Collins, 78, of South Plainfield, NJ passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010 in the Heath Village Facility, Hackettstown, NJ.
Born in Elizabethtown, NY, Mrs. Collins resided in South Plainfield, NJ for 45 years and was a former resident of Plainfield, NJ and Bristol, CT.
She was formerly employed as a receptionist with H & R Block of Plainfield, NJ for 10 years prior to retirement. Mrs. Collins was a member of the South Plainfield Women's Club and Sacred Heart Church of South Plainfield.
She is the beloved wife of the late Clem Collins, devoted mother of Linda Ott and husband Charles, John Collins and wife Robin, Dan Collins and wife Kate, dear sister of Robert Leroux and the late Ernestine Wojnarowski, Ellamae Angel and Failene Leroux, loving grandmother of Christopher, Cindy, Corey, Charles, Lucas, Louis, Lance, Lorie, John, Emma, Michael and Orla, also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held from the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield on Friday at 9 am. Funeral Liturgy will follow at Sacred Heart Church, South Plainfield, at 10 am.
Interment will be held in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
The family will receive their friends on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
