Anthony J. Landolfi, 91, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 26, 2010 at The Gardens At Monroe, Monroe Twp.
Born in Newark, Anthony resided in Clarksburg for 28 years before moving to Monroe Twp.
Anthony served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII as a cook in the Philipines with the Armor Division and was a Purple Heart recipient. He the was employed for Public Service, Electric and Gas of Harrison as a mechanic for 33 years before retiring in 1980.
He was a former member of the Newark VFW and a devoted husband and father who will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Rose C. Landolfi in 2003, a son, Anthony M. in 1997, a brother, Carmen, and a sister, Ann Henrickson.
Surviving are his loving son, Raymond Landolfi of Clarksburg, a sister, Christine Landolfi of Monroe Twp., and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 10 am, Saturday, July 31st, 2010 at the West Monmouth Baptist Church, 255 State Route 33, Freehold, NJ, 07728-2542, (732) 431-3483 followed by entombment of cremains at Fairview Cemetery, Rt. 35 South, Red Bank, NJ.
